Privacy Policy

Last updated 2 September 2026

Chill Division collects as little personal information as we can get away with. This page explains what we do collect, why, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it. We follow the Privacy Act 2020.

Hemp clone orders

When you request a hemp cutting through our order page we collect:

  • Your name and courier address, so we can send the cutting to you.
  • Your email address, so we can confirm dispatch and let you know if there's a problem.
  • Your confirmation that you have notified NZ Police and MPI, and that you have the equipment to root a cutting. We record a yes/no, nothing more.

How long we keep it: your name, email and address are automatically deleted from our system no later than 14 days after you submit the form. That's just long enough to courier the cutting and confirm it arrived. After that, only an anonymous record that a cutting was sent remains, so we can keep count of how many went out.

Who sees it: your name and address are given to the courier company so they can deliver the parcel. Nobody else receives your details, unless we're required to hand them over by law.

Cookies: after you submit the form we set a cookie in your browser containing a random token. It only stops you accidentally submitting the form twice and lets the page show you your place in the queue. It contains no personal information and expires after 60 days. A short-lived session cookie is also used to protect the form against cross-site request forgery.

Advertising quiz

The advertising quiz stores your current and longest streak in cookies on your own device so the page can show them back to you. Nothing about you is stored on our server.

Contacting us

If you email or message us, we keep that correspondence for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry or the work that follows from it.

Third-party content

Some pages embed content from other organisations (for example the Buy NZ Made badge and links to Instagram). Those organisations may set their own cookies and have their own privacy policies which we don't control.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it early. For hemp orders, deleting your details before dispatch means we can't send your cutting. Get in touch through the contact page.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
